First off, Enraged Troll Gaming, my family, and myself would like to wish you all a very Happy Valentines Day (and a Very Happy Birthday to my team mate, Hosea (Enjoy your 21st bro)). The topic of todays post is week two in World Design, the course I am currently taking for Game Design at Full Sail University, is pretty much like Level Design I took 2 months ago. The main difference is this month I am in a group, Horseradish (renamed Mad Designers), with Mr. Hosea Dawson, Ms. Ashley Day, Mr. Mathew McLaughlin, and Mr. Thomas Cuda. In the course we take a concept for a game, "Scraps", that was created by the instructors for the course and write a background for it, pitch ideas for a several scene level, and then build it using Unity. Week one we build a 512x512 One page game design document, then split it up evenly between the members. Week two (current week), we take the one page game design document and build our Alpha map. Week three we will take the Alpha, and the reviews from the other teams and fix our Alpha and work our Beta. Week four (final week) we finish the work and submit our Gold version. The team members are all a fun group we all mesh well, and the course is interesting. The only downside is the issue of having to use Perforce to submit our work. I do not wish this program on anyone not even my worst enemies.
